| The primary causes of pain associated with cutting teeth for fillings are heat, vibration and pressure.
Since the Waterlase MD does not generate any heat, pressure or vibration, many dental procedures now can be done with less anesthesia meaning fewer shots and fewer numb lips.
The Waterlase laser uses a laser energized stream of water through a "hydophotonic process".
The energized spray in a precise manner rapidly removes enamel, dentin and decay.
The Waterlase also performs many gum tissue procedures with little or no bleeding.
For soft tissue treatment the air and water from the laser cools the tissue keeping discomfort to the minimum.
